i was jogging today at the reservoir with the "da ge" group today, when i saw this challenge...hmm...looks quite exciting and exhilirating(sp?)...seeing the sportsmen holding on to the rope, and with a simple twist, made several somersaults and landed properly with grace...haha...so professsional...well, this was an international challenge, thus the high standards...thus i wondered, what if i were one of the challenges? actually i really like sports, cyclling, badminton, skating, jogging, anything you name it...but in the local, it is very hard to become a sportsplayer, especially with tthe fierce competition and demands that sportplayers have to obtain, such as good results, and good performances at competitions...and they need to be groom since young, like parents enrolling them into sports school, so that their chances of being a competitive sportplayer increases...hmm...with all the pressure building up, i really wish i can play a full day of different sports...yup, i cycled to school today, after quite some time never cycle le...the journey was smooth, and all was well...haha...
hmm...it rains today, and we had to jog in the slight drizzle, yup, and i hope they are alright, please don't fall sick...hee...but it was fun to go and relax, with the strong cool breeze blowing towards the face...

bridges are built to connect two points that are seperated by an obstacle, which is usually the water body...they are the superstar in the structural engineering world, and may shape and influence the world cultures and environment that people live in...some of the international famous bridges that still awe the world are Golden Gate Bridge in san fransico, Brooklyn Bridge in Brooklyn, Tsing Ma Bridge in Hong Kong, somewhere closer to us, the Penang Bridge ( one of the longest bridges in the world, with a length of 13.4 Km )...
bridges, in another context, refer to the link between two people...something that connects both people who are totally unrelated...we need these bridges...we can't deny it, as we are social species...sometimes, the bridges may be spoilt, due to excessive or underutilisation, and we cannot just leave it there like that...or else soon we will find that people are leaving you in isolation...we need to maintain the bridge with proper care, and not just exploit it with our interests, be it vested or real...thus, these bridges are the one which pure hearts will connect, and it shall never be used for personal welfare purposes, leading to harming in the other party..

a book that discusses about the cause and effect, that is not an economic subject, yet brings out the essence of economic studies...i learnt a lot from this book, as it tackles the different aspects of issues that surround everyone of us...such as the crime rates, the sports arena, the teachers realm of work, the sumo wretsle, and anythhing that is worth provocative to ask...
profound questions about human motivation and contemporary living and the human relationships, is definitely worth r read...but first, the contents may be too in depth, such that i need to read a few more times for some sections before understanding the author...

when we can't think of anything, that is mental block, normally we term this condition as black out...but in my case, i term it as white out...i prefer white over black actually...as the photo above shown, it is a corner that is totally white out...a corner where one can hide in during times of sadness, times of being abandoned...this corner will never neglect the owner...as it resides in everyone's heart..it's just depends on how one interpret it...some of us may find friends and pour out the woes, while others will just go and find a corner that only the finder knows about it...

"Put thought into how to maintain good energy in your life -- and get rid of the bad."
" You will be spending a lot of time today planning a trip, or making several small trips back and forth. That restlessness you are feeling is the old travel bug in your pants again. You will be dreaming of far-off places and unusual new people will come into your life. "
yup...GET RID of the BAD!! haha...shooot shooot off the some island you go...and may my travel bug plan a totally new exciting week ahead,...

hmm..went to mediacorp studios yesterday to lend my support for ah pok, the representative of our school to participate in this untimate comedian...it was my first time to mediacorp...haha...and guess what, we alighted one stop too late,,,luckily the distance to walk abck wasn't too long..anyway, really had another night of entertainment and fun-filled day...all we need to do was to sit back, relax and enjoy the jokes and funny stuffs the entertainer will do...and i witnessed lots of actions that will never be broadcased on tv...like the chasing and stuffs..hee..maybe next time i can still go with friends to watch live recording again...

badminton was really enjoyable, when we played after the biology paper 1...haha...in the tampines sports hall, it's been a while since i have been there...so, the feeling was really refreshing...and though there were only the 3 of us, we really played like we were the only ones there ( court 1 to 6 were all taken by tpjcians!!, last day of prelims except history)...haha...that's why by 12pm, i'm body aching that i needed to sit down and recuperate...hmm...this time the feeling of badminton was different, as i felt that i was able to be myself, and play like myself, and enjpy every moment of the shuttlecocks...with friends who know that enjoyment is the main point...that is playing for enjoyment, and not for competitive style...the process is more important than the result...and not always be potrayed by someone as a "you know what"...maybe together with class badminton team, we can have another session at our starting point, the place where we started this badminton frenzy...haha...that is tamp east cc...remember all the sweat we had there...er...overall, we used 6 shuttlecocks, which was a new record for a 2 hours session...
haha...ying tao xiao wan zi!! a happy cute girl who really sometimes get on the nerves of her peers, yet able to bring laughter to those around her, and the ones watching the show...well, here's a reminiscene of the show, and the japanese main song of the show...really quite hip, so can brighten up sad people...

hmm...i saw this quote on the new bus 21, which is handicapped friendly, quite a number of times in my previous trips, but never really paid any attention to it...today, i read it again and again while i was on my way home...it really is inspiring, as the quote provide sort of a guidiance for the route ahead...it goes like this:
"it is good to have an end to journey toward, but it is the journey that matters in the end" Ursuka Leguin
we often want to get the results, be it in exams, when the teachers are around, we will want to go and find out whether we did alright or not...we often want to know who the winners are in a competition...we often want to know whether our efforts are reap, so that we can harvest back, and sit back and relax etc...there are so many instances when we care only about the end...it is not wrong...the push factor is the factor that motivates us to carry on to do our best in whatever we do...but we often neglect the main essence of what the quotes is focusing on...the proces,, the journey itself, what we have actually learn in the end...in the educational system, we have been through years of education, with "friends" who are just passing by without any impact in your lives, with confidances who will be with you the rest of the lives, supporting and be there for you...all these are processes...in work, we also need to deal with all sorts of things, people outside are unpredictable, and we need to really try our best not to incur the wrath of others...education is just another ground where we learn how to deal with all these stuffs...
haha...a simple quote can get me to think about all these things...yup, tomorrow is the last prelim paper, so i shall try my best...

here's a new book by one of my favourite authors, eoin colfer-a book
about Fletcher Moon...don't belittle him, though he's a schoolboy only in primary school,he's a fully qualified private investigator... since graduating online, he has solved all sorts of minor mysteries at school and at home... and when he agree to help a friend to solve a case which doesn't look any suspicious, he got himself into a series of interlink cases, that involve the whole town...now the hunter is about to become the hunted...
quite an enjoyable read, as i have not touch on mystery books for quite some time...reading this makes me think of my childhood, when i was small, have i thought of being the coolest detective, hands holding a magnifying glass, and with specs to look at any clues? hmm...come to think of it, i do have some cute aspirations when i was small though...will share when i have the time ba...

er...biology is getting into my head , sounds like a spell in harry potter's wold huh?

i never really know that this pier exists until this year, when i heard the news that it was going to be closed down for a new development...i had previously posted a photo of the pier from the oustide view...anyway, upon hearing the news, i felt a sense of disappointment...why could i have this feeling when i do not have any attachment to this pier? maybe it is because of the role this pier play in the developmental stage of singapore in the early years...how the forefathers had to work hard in order to support their families as coolies etc...
thus, new things will always replace the old ones...isn't that correct? we have seen how the old eventually have to make way for the new, despite how much the old have play...hence, never leave your feelings of gratitute to the last mintue, to your grandparents, parents, and seniors...here, i am , thank you for all the support...

recently, i just went to the tampines regional library to view the photography exhibition put up by one well known NGO, i can't remember the name at this moment...it was really a a new experience, to see the actual footage of the poorest countries and the people there...it spark me to realise just how fortunate i am...to be here, with family and friends...we normally compare and contrast with people who are around us, who we are not so good with, and those who are better... but right from this moment, i just do want to treasure what i have...
there's a current photography exhibit at the national library board put up by the world press photo exhibition 2006, the result of the largest and the most prestigious annual press photograpyparticipated by more than 4,448 professional photographers from 122 countries...equivalent to the oscar award for photography...think i will be going to the exhibition after the prelims...its until 28th september...
another simultaneous photography exhibition will be the UNEP "Focus on Your World" Environment Photographic Exhibition, also at national library, to increase global public awareness of environmental issues through the power of visual images...it focuses on how humans have put on tremendous stress on the environment, how we have affect it, and the various detremental consequences brought about by human actions...
so, it will be a photogenic period after the prelims...haha...

this is one of the games i am currently playing...i played it during this week of prelims exams...must be out of my mind? well, basically i'm trying to reduce the stress...finally completed this game yesterday, and it was really a nice rpg game on gba...i still have kingdom hearts: chain of memories and zelda minish cap to complete...haha..
this game is about a young boy whose dad was one of the most respected swordcraft, a person who forges sword and defend the country...so this yound boy sets off on his journey to become the next swordmage, through the experiences he had to fight with other summon creatures in the sword world...and to collect minerals ore in order to forge more powerful weapons...and yup, i completed it with a level of 45, which took me 22 hours to train...

this week has been the prelims for A levels...basically whati can say is that i'm totally unprepare for the exams this time round...haha...however, prelims do push me to study at a constant rate...in which i think i will be able to get all the necessary information into my head and understand them before the actual A levels...monday was gp, did a question on whether the next war will be caused by conflicts of natural resources...haha...luckily i did read some materials before that...but comprehension paper was really hard...followed by an afternoon pf chemistry paper 3, which i really studied one day before...oops...tuesady was another flop, maths paper 1, same ending as not studying...wednesday was biology paper 2, and it was the time that ended it all,,,simply need to write at a super fast pace...er, today was chemistry paper 2, and i was really muddle headed to skip 2 questions unnoticed until the time was up..well,, all i can say is that i will definitely do better in the next round of exams...haha...and the hall was like the north and south poles, not even genting is that cold...

one day i drew a picture all over a canvus
a picture of 7 coloured dreams
when i noticed i was a bit more grown up
what have i found?
in this aimless daily life
i found something that's most important
yes it's always all right
because you are my friend
holdng these unforgettable thoughts
i will start walking in the dream which i got off track
at my own speed
in reality, things don't go as i want
so i closed the door to my heart
how many tears and mistakes have i been through?
but i still keep on living
i stretch my hands out, but the goal is far
but still there is always tomorrow
more than any brightest day there is
i will shine the best i can
holding hope very very tightly
each and every strp we have taken
is leading to the present
i tend to compare myself with others
or get discouraged by my weakness
so let's raise my dream
higher, higher, higher
don't be afraid
i just need to do it in my own style
yes, it's always all right
because you are my friend
holding these unforgettable thoughts
i will start walking in the dream which i got off track
at my own speed
~heartful days~
tomorrow's the start of the prelims le...all the best to myself...and all my wonderful friends...

just when the exam session is approaching, when most of the students in singapore are studying and revising hard for their exams, i watched this anime, a total of 26 episodes, meaning 26 hours...haha...unbelivable?? well, i treat it as a form of retreat, i need to take a break sometimes right, so this anime will fill my breaktime...
a very touching anime, filled with hearwariming story plots, about how the main boy, a chidren comic writer in training, lives in a big family...i can't remember the exact names, so pardon me...the landlady, kozue chan, plays her role to ensure everyone who live there are cheerful and enjoying themselves...however, there is a secret to her background...due to the lost of parents at a young age, she develops split personality, thus under stressful conditions, her 5 other selfs will appear...the residents living at the lodge will always try to help her, and to provide her with happiness too...during the anime, there are scences when they go for outing, and very humorous things will happen...thus, this makes me laugh like mad, diverting my attention from studies for a while...haha...
so right now, i got to start another anime, still looking for good titles...and will watch it on youtube, a very good video sharing portal...

oouch...isn't this so sharp, so pointed that it looks like piercing into the sky? hmm...but it's heading towards the sky, so it is like us students who will be facing with many obstacles, but still would want to face the challenges no matter how high there are... this buiding was taken in the city...do not be decieved by this photo...the buiding is actually one of the tallest around...i predict it is more than 50 floors high?? haha...too bad the security is too tight...

the world had lost a wonderful man-steve irwin, who brought energy and passion to everything he did. always put in his whole effert in crocodile research on board his vessel Croc One, filming wildlife documentaries etc...A hard-core Wildlife Warrior Steve irwin did for conservation and education what no one had ever done before. He brought wildlife conservation right into people’s living rooms and created a whole new generation of Wildlife Warriors...
thinking of his documentories when i was still in sec sch, i simply enjoyed every one of his shows in kidscentral and artscentral, as he really can engaged with the viewers...hmm...i will definitely catch the tribute for him if it airs in local channels...
salute to the crocodile hunter

yup...it was certainly a memorable time we all had together...coming out to meet up and catch up with each other, despite the busy schedule all of us have...it had been quite some time ago, but i still want to praise the simply wonderful and delicious ambience that we had at stone grill...and it was also an interesting place where we chilled out, and trying to figure out how to cook the food on a piece of hot hot granite volcanic rock...it was a fun and simply heartening momnet together...thank you all of you...

today was the last day of the annual comex 2006 at the singapore expo...it was as if i was in a sardine can...haha...basically, when you arrived at the hall, i can gurantee you are moving at a speed that is slowest ever...possibly about 30cm in one min...or even lower at junctions...like a bottleneck...yup...who can blame it when the bargains were actually lower than market values, the gadgets, cameras, pcs, mp3 players, lcd monitors etc...well, i collected a whole lot of pamplets, will be analysing it soon...hee, to find out anc compare which are the best bargains...
let my blue crystal ball do the readings ar...haha...
horoscope:
Like an onion, relationships have many layers -- as you dig deeper, tears may come.
You can give as good as you get, but do you really want to stoop to that level? Stand up for yourself, but do it graciously and with the best of motivations. Striking out in revenge won't have the result you hoped for.
Even if you're feeling uninspired, you need to have faith that your ideas will come.
Your confidence isn't outsized -- it's just the right size. The outward circumstances may not match your inward vision, but that's not important. What matters is that you know where real self-worth comes from.

you lost by complacency, and win by modesty.

i like jogging...it's a good form of exercise that can warm you up, to prepare you for any demanding things upcoming, and also to test your own stamina to the limit...jogging is good...it makes you feel happy, and produces a hormone, eutrophin, that can make you feel relax and distress from all the work i have...tons of mountains of work that when line up, can form one circle around the reservoi (5kmplus??) haha...yup...and thanks for jogging with me...it's good to jog together, can crack jokes and stuffs, and talk things unders the sun whenever we jog...and not forgetting the "eggs"...the eggs are good for your health...it stimulates the acupoints to clear the channels of cold and heat according to traditional chinese medicine...so i like to walk on the eggs barefooted...as i test my endurance and ability to focus all out...we shall jog and egg...haha... and try our best all out...jog jog jog...go go go all out!!

today's the teachers day...i would like to wish all my teachers to be happy, and to enjoy the teaching process as much i am learning...from my primary school to my current jc...your efforts and hardwork were really appreciated, and i shall not disappoint any teachers who have faith in me to aim for my dreams...rest assured that i shall try my very best...to all teachers worldwide, continue to impart your skills, to the next generations...from here, i leave 2 quotes behind...
One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child. ~Carl Jung
