focus...focus...focus....i do not want any broken parts...
oOosMiLeoOo

if things would turn up fine, then there will never be any disappointment...and no dreams would be shattered...this was a scene at the sculpture centre, where one can see heaps of broken glassware spreaded all over the floor...it was to mimic the clash of a space shutter while returning to earth...when all the things simply disintegrate and broken into smaller parts...now, we would not definitely want to encounter such events...so, everyone, buck up now, and go all the way through the atmosphere, withstand this short span of heat, and soon, we'll reah the earth safe and sound, and will be able to enjoy ourself...

can you see the word ''believe''?? there was a challenge at the information board, asking viewers to spot this word out of the many characters...and here it is...
starting from tomorrow, it will be three days to the first paper for A levels...now, i shall believe in myself...forward, j.l.
oOosMiLeoOo
now, this is a very unique piece of artwork...i was totally awe and stun by how the artist manage to create the hidden alphabets, taking a form of a chinese character...each character which looks seemingly alike to a chinese character is actually made up of many alphabets, coining into a word...at first, i had some difficulty in trying to decipher what each character means, but it was fun trying to rack my brain to think out of the box...try and see what words you can guess?

actually it is the support for my legs...if you can continue on the whole biennale without sitting down for a while, then i think you are really something...during the trip, i saw lots of this chair made up of cardboxes and the biennale tapes...visitors can take a rets by sitting down on this rigid chair...before continue on with the exhibition...an innovative way of making a chair indeed...
and yup, i just discovered there's a museum by the name the red dot design museum situated at mexwell road...it showcases a lot of really creative and innovative designs of the products that are available nowadays, like the design of techonological gadgets and simple tools such as the lamp and chair...worth going to take a look at the ideas...i shall go afetr the As...
oOosMiLeoOo
this is an unique exhibit, where one can actually visualise the scenario when taking an aeroplane...it was dark around the room, and all i could see was the huge projector screens all along the walls, with the wings of an airplane...it makes people feel like they are in an actual airplane...according the the interpretation of this exhibit, the artist is trying to create a pseudo ( i learnt this word in chemistry by the way ) visual effect to make people feel like they are in the actual plane...a very interesting way of doing art...
oOosMiLeoOo

the above scene can be found in a very funny room, where i can hear a constant neverending stream of laughter...imagine nobody is in the room, and the room is as big as the school hall...and with all the exhibits around, while one is enjoying the artworks, there comes a non-stop laughter...when i walked further inwards, the source of sound was from a tv, which showed a group of men and women sitting around in a circle table ( above ), and laughing like there's no tomorrow..and in front of them were flags that represented their originality...hmm...isn't this spine chilling? i took a photo and left soon afterwards...
when i saw the news reported on tv, there were groups of people looking at the room above, and that is when i realised numbers means a much great deal when visiting artworks that i'm not so accustom with...
oOosMiLeoOo

this is a gold bar...i do not know whether it is a real or fake bar...but it attracts me so much so that i keep looking at it to see whether it is real or fake...and after a few minutes, i realise i need to have a photo of it...and on top of it, is 'diversity is value'...so i think you can guess this is real of fake...anywhere, this short quotation sounds meaningful...to have a variety, and is valueable...so, is diversity value? discuss...

i have been cycling to school to and fro for the past 2 weeks, and it's really a form of enjoyment, especially when the wind is against you, blowing pass my face ( its friction, slows the bike down, but well, i can have the cool breeze touching my face, so its worth it..)...and this cycling craze isn't worn off yet, as i cycled to ubi avenue near the circle line a few days ago, and to simei just yesterday...cycling is good, cycling is fun, and cycling is ding gua gua...i should have cycle to school since my first year, then it would be really fun...i usedot own three bikes, one was stolen, 2 was spoilt gradually...and i would often cycled to parsir ris, tampines central and library, to my sec school, to basically any where with the whole family outing...haha...i shall remember the moments i cycled...

the city hall!! my first time going IN INSIDE!! how many of you actually can have a chance to get to tour in this building? only during the biennale 2006!! well,i'm getting excited, because of the many exciting exhibits that can be found in this building, which is actually a court house, where lawyers are handling their cases...and i actually got to walk around the room where we often see in TV...
oOosMiLeoOo
i have been whipping up some dishes for dinner for the past few consecutive weeks...together with my brother...you know, sometimes we feel like cooking something for the family, after their hard day of work...well,i'm not entirely a good chef, as i rely on my mum's recipe and instructions...if not, the food would definitely turn up er you know what...anyway, i find it useful, for me to learn how to cook now, as i'm going to be independent soon, going into the ns...and subsuquently into a good u...some dishes that i'm good at:
dried shrimp cauliflower
onion sardines
butter eggs
pomfret or any other fish
spicy long beans
soup ( vegetable with tofu, tomato etc.)
and many more to come...
and of course rice and congee...

i also completed this game not long ago...in fact simutaneously with the b daman...anyway, this game is adapted from a book that i really like, storm breaker by anthony horowitz, his first book to the alex riders series...yup...i played as the spy from the intelligent service, and had to infiltrate the suspect base at his headquaters...while there, i needed to beat the bad guys up, using high tech gadgets etc...and finally got the bad guy, who is the one on the right...on the left is the main character shooting down the plane of the bad guy...another save the world scenario...all the games i play are from gameboy advance...
oOosMiLeoOo

i completed this game not long ago...battle ba daman...quite a fungame, where you can earn mooney when you beat the other b daman players, and modify your own machine to make it the strongest...i played as the guy on my left, and beat the guys on my right... 'i' perserve on despite facing problems while on my way to become the legendary b daman player...haha...all this are just false illusions, and i'm just as contented as i am now...

what exactly is this? it looks like a digital art...but well, it can actually be interpreted differently...take a close look at the sharp red ornage, doesn't it resembles the hot passion when we are attracted to do something of our interests? or when we are with someone who we would like to spend the next half of the lives together? hmm...the flame of passion is burning within me...to excel in what ever i will be doing...to all friends out there, i do wish that your flame of passion is also burning strong, if not, let me add in a few branches to push you...
oOosMiLeoOo

wishes...who doesn't have wishes? who doesn't have desires? how many times in our life are we able to share our wishes and dreams with? take a look at the board above...this is just a tiny portion of the whole four walls of a room at the singapore biennale tanglin camp...people sure have many demanding wishes...but who can we blame, as we are human...some of the wishes are finding their mr and miss right, world peace, earn lots of money etc...most of which are quite materialistic...
now, what about my wishes? hmm...
oOosMiLeoOo
this is the last photo of our powerpoint presentation of class 05s07...i had purposely pixelated the photo to protect the rights of the class...so if of you want the full resolution original one, do contact me to send it to you...yup...today's the farewell assembly in the school...two years at tpjc marks the day...it all seems just like yesterday, when we first met in the classroom...there are certainly many things that i will want to say, but probably not now, as i need to study first...yup, to all my friends out there, all the best for your As!!
oOosMiLeoOo

ever feel like singing like a star?? well, you can actually do so here...somemore with the group of peopl cheering for you...the more you sing, the louder you sing, the more they cheer for you...haha...so,one can actually feel like a star, better than going to kbox or party world, where there's no one to cheer for you...
oOosMiLeoOo
this is the other world...beatutiful isn't it? er...to view this, i got to put my head into the tunnel...and be like that penguin... . oOosMiLeoOo
this is a penguin...with its head looking at the other half of the world, that is beyond its sight...it cannot go into the other wonderful world, necause it cannot go through the crack in which its head is looking through at...many a times, when we look at the other world, we are envious...but in actual fact, we are really quite fortunate ourself...so just stay contented to enjoy the most out of life...

this is a wall with graffiti spraying in blue patterns...we rarely got the chances to see such designs, thus i found this quite intriguing...basically it depends on individuals what they can see from this art form...er..for me, it's like carefree patterns, flowing here and there...
oOosMiLeoOo
this was a series of drawings done by singapore children...the drawings are lined up along two walls facing each other...in the drawings, there are merlion and a penguin i think...the penguin is kind of interesting, as i have not seen it before...from the drawings, we can see the naive nature of children...since when did we last draw something that we like, and apply colour to it?
oOosMiLeoOo
this is the route to the first stop, tanglin camp...it was located at a place deserted away from the city...lots of bushes and grasses...looks kind of emptiness when i first alighted from the shutter bus...haha...and thus, it was like trekking through dense bushes...
oOosMiLeoOo
i went to the biannual singapore biennale last saturday...it was a trip i wanted to go since the start of the 3 months contemporary arts festival, where selected artists all around the world will come to singapore and showcase their artworks on the interpretation of this year's theme--belief.. so well, why this theme?
i leave it up to you people to interprete the meaning of this word yourself, what this word means to you... your beliefs? your values?
oOosMiLeoOo
talking about food, just last week, i had 3 days of filling up...first was the trip to loyang for a self-help buffet meal, from select catering ( eating was the sub-objective )...there were vietnam, korea, italian, indian dishes...and japan...which i tried all...haha...then it was my cousin's engagament dinner also...went to the PA's resort, again, with all the delicious food laid out on the bufeft table...who can blame my stomach from rumbling like craze inside me? with food to eat, i'm glad...thus, i set out on a scheduled jogging, as one cannot eat and don't jog at all...or expercise to be precise...
oOosMiLeoOo

not long ago, i went to this cafe with my friends-->miss clarity cafe located near the national library, purvis street i think...anywya, yup, it was a perfect dining experience, coupled with a soothing ambience and lightnings which relax our tense nerves ( due to the prelims stress )...i had always wanted to try out the food there, and finally i got a chance to try it with the group...basically, i had a western set, i can't rememebr the name, not good at western names, especially those with a touch of european flavour in it...comes with the usual st, a soup, the main course, and the drink, and the desert...which i had was the mango icing...a touch of ice, yet not the ususal ice cream type...the most important factor is the price, with set meals of $8.90,$12.80,$15.80 nett...get this NETT!!! haha...so well, here's the conclustion,
''Good food is best enjoyed with people you love and adore. Love ya all! ''
oOosMiLeoOo
this is the lantern i am using this year...we got three of this...my younger brother, my sister, and me...it's quite nice, no fuss, no hiccup, just use a stick to go through the loop, and there you are, we can go lantern walking...i like lanterns...when i was a child...i could always bring my own lantern, lit with candles, and went to the playground to play with the other children...we could stick candles into the sand in the playground, with my sister and brother...we could tried to blow the candles, and see whose candles can last longer...for lantern walking, we could tried to compete who's the most steadiest, by climbing up and down without the lantern toppling over...how i missed those days...wheere are my playground friends now, i wonder...
urghz...the haze is getting thicker by the moment...

today is zhong qiu jie , also known as mooncake festival...today is the 15th of the 8th lunar month...one of the mosy important chinese festivals, where families and friends will come together, eat mooncakes, eat pomelos, enjoy the moon, drink tea, play word games etc...
the origin:
Overthrow of Mongol rule
The Mid-Autumn Festival also commemorates an uprising in China against the Mongol rulers of the Yuan Dynasty (1280–1368) in the early 14th century. As group gatherings were banned, it was impossible to make plans for a rebellion. Noting that the Mongols did not eat mooncakes, Liu Bowen (劉伯溫) of Zhejiang Province, advisor to a Chinese rebel leader Zhu Yuanzhang, came up with the idea of timing the rebellion to coincide with the Mid-Autumn Festival. He sought permission to distribute thousands of moon cakes to the Chinese residents in the city to bless the longevity of the Mongol emperor. Inside each cake, however, was inserted a piece of paper with the message: "Kill the Tatars on the 15th day of the Eighth Moon" (八月十五殺韃子). On the night of the Moon Festival, the rebels successfully attacked and overthrew the government. What followed was the establishment of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), under the rebel leader Zhu Yuanzhang. Henceforth, the Mid-Autumn Festival was celebrated with moon cakes on a national level.
Hou Yì was himself an immortal, while Chang'e was a beautiful young girl, working in the Jade Emperor's (Emperor of Heaven) Palace as the attendant to the Queen Mother of the West (wife of the Jade Emperor), before her marriage. One day, Yì aroused the jealousy of the other immortals, who then slandered him before the Jade Emperor. Yì and his wife, Chang'e, were subsequently banished from heaven, and forced to live by hunting on earth. He became a famous archer.
Now at this time, there were 10 suns that took turns to circle the earth — one every 10 days. One day, all 10 of the suns circled together, causing the earth to scorch. Emperor Yao, the Emperor of China, commanded Yì to kill all but one of the suns. Upon the completion of his task, the Emperor rewarded Yì with a pill, the elixir of life, and advised him: "Make no haste to swallow this pill, but first prepare yourself with prayer and fasting for a year". Yì took the pill home and hid it under a rafter, while he began healing his spirit. In the midst of this, Yì was summoned again by the emperor. While he was gone, Chang'e noticed a white beam of light beckoning from the rafter and discovered the pill, which she swallowed. Immediately, she found that she could fly. Just at that moment, Yì returned home, and realizing what had happened, began to reprimand her. Chang'e flew out the window into the sky.
With bow in hand, Yì sped after her, and the pursuit continued halfway across the heavens. Finally, Yì had to return to the Earth because of the force of the wind. Chang'e reached the moon, and breathless, she coughed. Part of the pill fell out from her mouth. Now, the hare was already on the moon, and Chang'e commanded the animal to make a pill from it, so that she could return to earth to her husband.
As of today, the hare is still pounding. As for Yì, he built himself a palace in the sun as "Yang" (the male principle), while Chang'e is "Yin" (the female principle). Once a year, on the 15th day of the full moon, Yì visits his wife. That is why the moon is full and beautiful on that night.

if you have noticed, there is a certain cloud of smoke drifting in the environment these few days...the visibility was reduced to a mere 2-3km in the past few days...this is due to the forest fire cause by one of our good neightbours...and the burning still continues despite warnings was given out to the culprits...why burnt down trees, just to convert it into plantations? why damage our precious environment? the haze caused by this burning had worsen the air quality, raise the psi. and will affect many others living organism...luckily, today was fine...er...and the rain too...

what well happen when the information available is too much for the brain? it will cause massive overflow...haha...so we need to process the information well, and make sure that we understand it...this stream of water is like the rate in which time flies, it's fast, it's swift, and it leaves behind a trail of flow, that we can trace back to the past...
oOosMiLeoOo
it's time i use this blog as a platform to express my views...on issues, issues that concern people...er...basically, complaining...
as the days to A levels are rapidly approaching, the tension in the class can be felt...the tension to do well, to achieve the best form that can gurantee a place in the local university...not to mention the whole school, with people at every moment revising the past work...with the attention focusing on to the exams, who are left to be willingly volunteer to settle the class matters? perhaps there are many...and i really appreciate those who had put in their GREAT efforts to ensure the class is still bonded...but there are also some who do not have a chance to express their views on how matters should be carried out...and just took the initiative without first clarify with the rest...but what i dislike most is the attitude of some, who basically display the "bo chak" attitude, and who wish that everything will just be laid out finely...it wasn't like this before, it was all fine, and happy, last year...
with the prom night sitting arrangement, i'm fine with it...being able to sit with the class should be the top priority, since i have spend nearly two years together with the class, be it the happy moment and the sad moments...time's flying by pass...i do not wish to have any regrets concerning my class friends, i do not wish to leave for the next part of the journey without understanding all...i am trying hard...very hard...and when there are people who wanted to forgo this last opportunity just to join other people instead to mingle and interact with the class, i felt a sense of disappointment...
instead of not crossing each other paths, there are some who just keep wanting to agitate you...and luckily, there are others who are willing to stand by and ward off the undesirable...friends are suppose to trust you...and when they are influenced by gossips and fabrications, and these spoils the reputation, tarnish your status, what can the victims do? stand up for oneself? when everyone has forget the contributions and time the person have put in? well, we can't stand loneliness...for the very fact, there are people who are jealous of somethings owned by others, and hence started on these very meaningless actions in order to irritate you...
please, let's just continue on our OWN paths...
to the rest of the class friends, i treasured you all...(^,^)

today's the children's day in singapore, 1st oct...let's be the young children that all of us once were...cheerful, naive, and like to play with others in the playground, play catching, play chopsticks, play sissors(sp?) paper stone, play open numbers, build sandcastle on the playground sand, play police and thief, play play play etc...
the children's day around the world falls on different days... like in india, nov 14, in china, june 1st...haha...but all around the world, there are children looking forward tothis day, as they can recieve gifts...remembering the sovernirs i always got when i was in primary school...whilst in the relaxation, we must not forget those children who are not as fortunate as us...who are not able to enjoy the day...to all children ( under the age of 12 years ), happy children's day...
