once upon a time, there was this polar bear, who had a long long neck...the polar bear had a huge advantage over other bears because it was able to see far far away, thus it can go to anywhere it desires...but there was one problem though...the polar bear tripped down often, as it was not able to see the rocks and stones on its pathway...thus, any obstacles blocking its way will cause the bear to fall down...it was not just a fall, but a heavy fall with a loud 'thud' sound, that vibrated through miles away...you can imagine how huge was the impact...
thus, one day, the bear heard from another bear, to change its way of walking...by looking at the steps it walks...so, now instead of looking at its destination, it started to looks at the pathway to avoid the obstacles...the polar bear did not fall down a single time that day...but what was alarming was that it discovered that by looking at its next steps, it was not able to go to the place it wanted...instead of arriving at the lake to catch a fish, it reached a cliff, and nearly walk into the ice wall too...
the bear realise something from its encounters that day...it decided not to look at its steps anymore...it wanted to be back who it was...to be its own personality...although the bear still falls down quite a lot of times, it was able to decide where it wanted to go...instead of blindly following the trails of the obstacles...
in times of obstacles, it is alright to fall...all we need to do is to get up again, and continue our journey...isn't it?
p.s.haha...maybe i can also be a story teller...yup, hopw this story can inspire some...on not to follow blindly, and to get yourself up when you are down...

i believe most people have read or hear of this book-xiao wang zi during their childhoof years...it's been years since i pick up little prince to read...now, out of a sudden, i have a passion to read it when i saw it in the library a few weeks ago...this is a fairy tale for teenagers, a book that consists of responsibility teachings...
the story unfolds when a small hiccup happen on a plane flying through sahara desert, and the author meet a young prince from outer space...little prince worries a lot...he came from a very very tiny planet, everything there is very very small...and he's quite fragile...his small heart touches many...conversing with the author,we see how little prince cries, how little prince laugh, and tohether with the author, we i have become a small child once again...to find back my naive and playfulness...

firstly, pluto is no longer considered as an official planet after astronomers around the world decided to catergorise pluto as one of the three dwafts planets...having learnt that the solar system has NINE planets since i learnt science when i was in primary school, i can't really believe that now there are only 8 planets left...so now textbooks teaching solar system has to be changed...it's something that we can't avoid, as new discoveries are made and changes have to be made to keep up with the discoveries...well, in my heart, pluto will always be a plant to me, part of the solar system, and also the doggy in 
mickey mouse...

Secondly, my GP teacher said that most often we view people as a whole package, and that in today's technological utopia world, we are gradually measuring things in materialistic terms...we often judge people externally, never really pay attention to what the internal heart really is...so if we see someone good looking in external, does it create a first impression that the person is good in heart? no doubt good looking poses a comfortable position when talking with people, but maybe we can look deeper a bit to really understand the person...
This week has been a hectic week with exams one after another one...and there is chemistry tomorrow, looks like i won't be able to finish the syllabus in time for tomorrow's exam...but well, let's just move on and i shall continue to work hard and perserve...

this second series of book is really enriching and inspiring...it talks about the invaluable friendship shared among the three bothers, polar bear ban ke,penguin fen qi and small wolf bao er...this time round, they went in search of the owner of a spoon that they found in a big fish...following the clues given by the wise tiger, they embarked on a journey to return the spoon to human beings...along the way, they got warned by the snow rabbit boss and the little god of tiger the danger in meeting humans, as they will use their guns to fire any animals near them...however, ban ke still determine to reach the humans...the climax happened when the trio see the human child, as just as the child's father saw the trio, he aim his gun at the polar bear... ... ...
they argued, they contradicted with each other,but they are still friends...perhaps the friendship they share can melt away the cold stony modern society has...it's good for me to read, as i need to continue reading chinese....i am a chinese, so must conserve my roots...haha...
and i found 'my world is flat' by thomas L friedman...again after soooo many disappointed trips to the library...and because of this, i learn not to give up...as long as i continue to try my best at something, the probability of me aiming for my dreams will increase...
how many more days to prelims? 18 days ar...

many htings in our lives are still not well define, and my thoughts for undefine subjects are express in this photo...it shows waves of water, and when we try to look further in to understand what it is showing, then we realise that we can't intrepret it as we thought we could...only time will tell whether what we thought initially will unfold, or will it just be another illusion, amongst the many we already have? to really know what is going to happen, we have to take the most trsuted and traditional route to succes...there is no no shortcut to get things done...only hardwork, can allow you to define and shape your future...

just finished watching this hongkong drama at channel U, and i can truly say that this show brings out the actual human nature that most often is mask by the appearence--power,fame,greed,conspiracy,sabotage,betrayal,trust, and many more...
this plot talks about a mega insurance company MIG, the man behind the company was acted by xie xian, as he really brings out the substance in the show...he had 2 daughters, one illegtimate, and the other one legally with his wife...his other daugther,season,joined the company as fate interwined the father and daughter lives...together with another guy, zhijian, they decided to stive for the best in the company, to aim for fame and wealth...even if they have to undertake unorthodox means...
zhijian's motive to climb up the steps swiftly prompted him to marry wanhao(xie xian)'s legal daughter...soon, his desires overwhelmed his consciences...as he continue to engage in underhand means to get what he wants, as a result, committed numerous murders to reach his aims...
wanhao discovered about zhijian's scheme, and wanted to expose him, but unfortunately, he had a stroke as zhijian refused to give him his medicine when he was having heart attack...to take revenge, season aim to uncover all the evidence against him, even if forgoing all her happiness and love from her parents and love ones...
this was definitely a good show to watch, and understand the how people deal with things under desperate circumstances...
one thing to remember: as long as we are clear to our own consciences, we have nothing to fear even if other people plan to attack us, or misunderstood the actual facts...

just when the crowd was rushing to watch the much anticipated movie in screen, i was happy to find this book in the library, and sat on my bed to read this much acclaimed book, which is based on the mobie, superman returns. thought i did not watch the movie in the end, this book provided me with the necessary information on the plot and details of the movie...and i believe i am as informed as those who watched the movie...
novelisations do have some discrepencies with the movie itself, as it is impossible to squeeze everything into the book itself ( not true for movies base on novels,like harry potter)...nevertheless, the author's ability to writes about Krypton, Jor-El and Superman's travel to find his homeworld so descriptive that you can easily picture in your mind what it would have looked like added on to the movie version...
the sory basically revolved around Clark wrestling with whether or not he should leave his Superman identity behind, but when Lois and a plane of reporters are poised for disaster, he puts on the suit. He makes his triumphant return in time to battle Lex Luthor and fight to save the planet...another great read indeed...
right now, i need the strength of the man of steel to battle anything on my course...haha...er, i want the powers too...
with great strength, comes great respondsibility--from spiderman... =)

i just learnt from my A level maths that there is actually a solution for square root of negative one,which is given the value of i...and when manipulated,can give you the argand diagram,with trigo inside the whole topic etc. how amazing yet complex is that? this is the first time i learning this new topic,which i had a hard time figuring out the complexity of it,but finally manage to graspe it with a few hours of doing the tutorials and reading the notes...haha...talking about complexity n ( the quality of being intricate and compounded), that means something that really puzzles or cause problems for the understanding of certain subjects...the most intriguing would be effort to understand oneself,what i really desire, and once i solve the solution to it, i will be able to aim myself towards the goals...of course,not everything will be as smooth,and there are bound to be obtacles...all i can do is to focus on my beliefs,and ignore the complexity of others whom i try to understand but prove futile,and i will reach my dreams...
you see,you learn...you listen,you remember...you do,you understand...i shall do...

standing at the broadway looking towards the magnificent esplanade,with the sea breeze blowing towards my face, you can really feel like freezing the tranquil moment...with many other same minded photographers nearby, i felt an overwhelming sense of embarking on a journey of photography...but well, reality is much more real...haha...anyway,it had been the fireworks week...heard that one can clearly see the beauty here...but i didn't go down,as there were simply too much work to be done...esplanade is the arts hub of singapore, attracting many world renowned arts like minded to come together and put up their fabulous performances...hmm...i'm not that arts inclined...i am only interested in the expression arts such as abstract and still life,having undergone the arts during my secondary school...as for dramas,dances,musical etc...i may not understand it completely...nevertheless, it is still worth it to appreciate the arts...

the first book of the series of five books once again by anthony horowitz,one of my favourite authors, writes about a sinster story of the supernatural. Matt, the main character, discovered about his power of predicting when dangers would arrive, and soon stumbled upon the truth that lead to the path of a new thriller suspense...eight elderly come together to form the nexus, protecting the world from the evil ones, banished long ago by five special children, and matt was one of them...in this book, the bad guys want to open the raven's gate and let them out, it is up to matt to prevent the catastrophy to humankind...
the second installation for the power of five books,evil star marks the beginning of another adventure that matt has to undergo, but this time round, he meet his first friend, one of the children who will save the world...the plot took place in peru, and traces to the lost kingdom of the incas, to the sahara desert where the alightment of the stars will trigger the opening of another gateway...together with pedro, matt has to put forward his couragen and fight his way intelligently through the bad guy, salamandar, from opening the gate...but, this time round,things are going to be bad...
What I liked about this book was that it was fast paced and kept into the plot with every chapter. The other reason why I liked this book was that the character showed lots of different emotions about how they did not want to get involved other people's problems.
This is almost like the Alex Rider series, written by the same author too...
Some of the emotions I felt were shocked and sadness when the plot reveals characters and deaths. All in all, the book was a great sequel to Raven's Gate and I enjoyed it very much.
perhaps it is strange that i still read stories that seems to be catered for children...haha...but well, in my eyes, a good book is one that has the story to captivate my attention from the beginning to the end, and still left me wondering when will the next book be out if any...i shall continue to wait for the third book...

Dendrolagus matschiei Matchie Tree Kangaroo before i read on tree kangaroos, i don't even know that there are actually kangaroos who can climb tress instead of hopping...haha...well, now that i know, knowledge sure can be very interesting and fun to acquire... national day is yesterday, i am a big too late to post...well, here i am, wishing 41st birthday to singapore...hopefully i was able to catch a few shots of these year fireworks just now...haha... oOosMiLeoOo
treetop kangaroos are marsupials, and is the largest tree dwelling mammals in australia...they are th only type of kangaroo that don't hop...instead, they climb on al fours as they are able to move each of their limbs individually...another thing about tree kangaroo is that they don't sewat, but they lick their forearms to cool their bodies...althought they seem awkard when on land, they are actually excellent agile climbers and they can easily leap from trees to trees...haha...

The movie tells the story of two people from different times, 20 years apart, communicating only through a CB radio. Wide-eyed optimist Xiao-Jia (Gigi Leung), a third year university student, stumbles across a broken shortwave radio
One night, while fiddling with the broken radio, she ends up talking to Wen Jia-Hui (Ken Zhu), a cynical freshman from the same university. After some easy banter on-air, they decide to meet at the school foyer at 2 p.m. the following day. But they both find themselves stood up by the other-she standing in the blazing heat of the sun for an hour, he in the pouring rain, completely soaked.
It turns out it was really nobody's fault. She is in the year 1982, he in 2002, and they are simply brought together by the machine that allows them to talk despite the years that separate them. After exchanging caustic remarks, they figure out the situation, but not the reason. (The movie never explains the "mysterious" radio.)
As their friendship grows, so does the attraction between them, as they discuss their lives across 20 years. Issues such as relationship between humans, whether true love still exists was brought up and discussed by them...
when xiao jia discovered that jia hui's parents are her best friend and the guy she secretly had a crushed on, she was sad and retreated away from jia hui's parents...the last part showed jia hui in search of the future xiao jia, who was walking along down the corridor where she teaches...
The last part wasn't quite clear to me, as it doesn't seems to have an ending to it...anyway, this is a good movie to those who like romance movies...haha...
watched this yesterday night...hee...taking a break once in a while...

you arrive at the traffic light, assuming it is a road junction at one of the business district...you press the button to let the traffic light controller to know that there are people waiting to cross the road...however, do you often keep pressing the button every few seoconds? this is normal for most of us, whenever i am waiting for the traffic to turn green man, there are bound to be people who keep pressing the button...why can't we wait for just a few more seconds? it doesn't make any difference as to how many times you press the button, as the timing to turn green man is preset by the computer...
well, we live in a society when speed and efficiency is everything...one step slower and you will be out...be it in studies or work, it's the same everywhere...this gradually change our attitude and make us impatience to many things...like mumbling when queueing up for food...or complaining about the arrival of the bus etc...all i can say is, slow down once in a while, and appreciate the beauty we have in our surroundings, and pay close attention to those who are always around us...yup..

this TV show from taiwan endedlast week, had been watching it for more than a month at channel U...a story about love and believing...and about trust, how much you can believe in one person...hmm...i find the plot quite inspiring...especially the scences when William have to make a decision on whether to send Sophie to the quarantine section...and also the many scences when William continue to believe in Sophie when obstacles struck...certainly a romance show with plenty of humour and laughter...haha...
the start of a new month...today's august 3rd...hmm...looking at the meter below, i still have 38 days until prelims, and 90 days until the A levels exams...got to study and revise...yup...

this is thr common tree nymph, in its nature habitat of mangroves and coastal areas...tree nymph fly slowly, floating like a piece of paper...thus the nickname of 'rice paper'...the reason why theri wings being white, with black spots and strips, is to warn predators of their unappealing taste...hmm...i had a few experiences when the butterfly just landed on my shirt, and when i tried to shoo it off, it just don't buldge, with its long legs holding on to my shirt...well...butterflies can be beautiful too... oOosMiLeoOo
