this book is a jewel that explores the showmanship, challenges and philosophies that have made Cirque an international sensation. Using a fictional narrative, Heward (former president and COO of Cirque's creative content division) and journalist Bacon follow a sports agent named Frank as he seeks the drive and enthusiasm that have faded from his career.
Through a chance encounter while in Las Vegas, Frank sees a Cirque du Soleil performance and is enchanted. Before long Frank takes a leave of absence from his job and starts training with Cirque athletes in Montreal while giving the reader a behind-the-scenes look at how the Cirque sensation is created and the underlying philosophy.
He gleans lessons on the value of working for a common goal, creating a meaningful experience for customers, using failure as a learning tool and how to reinvent oneself to find life's true path. While the scenarios that Frank encounters often seem too convenient, the book is captivating and offers important lessons that can be applied to many aspects of modern life.

Daisy is an urban melodrama about Hye-Young , a young struggling art painter who mistakenly fell in love with an Interpol police detective Jeong-Woo .She thought that he is the person who sends daisies to her everyday. Jeong-Woo eventually found out the real daisy guy: Park-Yi , who happens to be a professional hitman who admired Hye-Young ever since he saw her painting daisies in the countryside.
However, a mishap happened one day. . Story continues to unfold and in the end, this movie shows the what one can do for his/her loved ones. This movie was shot entirely in The Netherlands, for the most part in the capital of Amsterdam, Haarlem and Epen.

a nice movie.,...

This touching sci-fi love story centers on Han Seong Hyun ,an accomplished architect who moves into his father's beach house, only to find himself put in the most extraordinary of circumstances. After dubbing the place "Il Mare" ("The Sea" in Italian), Seong Hyun receives a mysterious letter from a woman named Kim Eun Joo .Strangely, the letter is addressed to the person who will live in Il Mare after Eun Joo leaves, a puzzling statement considering the fact that Seong Hyun is the very first person to ever live in the house!
Believing it to be some sort of a prank or perhaps just a misunderstanding, Seong Hyun initially disregards the anomaly, only to find himself drawn into correspondence with Eun Joo. But as the two begin conversing through exchanged letters, they eventually discover that their situation is as remarkable as it is downright unbelievable. It seems that Eun Joo is actually living in 1999, a full two years ahead of the time in which Seong Hyun resides! Disbelief gives way to amusement and intrigue as the two continue their correspondence, eventually falling for one another. But when these two strangers decide to meet up, they soon discover something that neither quite expected.

The film follows Navorsky as he lands at the JFK airport in NYC and eventually learns that he is stuck in the international lounge of the airport due to the dissolution of his homeland and the fact that the US will not immediately recognize the new government.
As Navorsky begins to learn of his new predicament and how to cope, he makes mistakes and must use his mind to come up with alternate methods to get food, shelter, money and work. I have to say it is a great one that first shows the meaning and beauty in our life about waiting and promise. This simple story conveys some wonderful philosophy for people living in this country busy around everyday for business, families, and so on, to slow down and reflect on something.

watched this movie, nothing much to say about it...though i dislike watching nc16 movies with strong violence and vulgarities in it...haha...that's my preference though...yup, storyline is a bit confusing at the start...only at the later part do i start to realise the main plot, which is too late...
it's all about police catching the bad guys, how the police regulates themselves within the departments...it shows the back yards of the city, where one would not have know how it is like without going into it..
hmm, just a normal movie to me...

the truth about love

The Incredible Truth About Love explores this driving sentiment throughout its many nuances, while recognizing the elements that make it such an incredibly wonderful part of our lives. Helping along the way are the individually selected animal photographs that perfectly convey the ideas that the author presents.
From the chick sheltered beneath his mother's wing to the cubs locked in joyous embrace, the images make this book a delight on their own. "Complex in their simplicity," "Satisfying and fulfilling," and "Just right . . . every time" are the comments one might have thought after reading through it...
i read another book earlier sometime, titled the blue day book, also by the same author...the author uses wonderful nature animal photographs which truly portrays the meanings the author wants to express...giving me a refreshing feeling, and always anticipating for the next photos...

a tale of triumph over negativity

This wise, insightful parable follows the hero who ventures into the Land of NO in search of YES. He watches well-intentioned characters flounder and fail--while noticing other characters using different approaches and achieving success. the observant hero learns from others' experiences, as well as his own.

Through his journey, onewill discover how to persist in the face of frequent NOs--both the NOs uttered by people around and, perhaps more importantly, the insidious NOs whispered by one's own inner voices.

The second half of the book talks about practices--with proven tips, tools, and strategies to help one persevere, develop tenacity, persist in the face of rejection, and overcome the inertia of the status quo. Taken together, the two parts of this book provide a how-to manual that's both practical and entertaining. It will help one to find the YESes you seek--faster, more effectively, and with a lot less discouragement and despair in the process.
