this is another amazing book written by Douglas Preston, the author of tyranosaur canyon that i read not long ago...the codex has an outstanding story plot of archaeological mystery, horror and adventure that carries me along with the twists and turns, that can rival the indiana jones movies for sheer high momentum and a ripping climax...
the story is about three sons who go searching for their dying father, who has vanished into the central america jungle with his whole weath and forture, that is the art and artifacts that their father,Maxwell Broadbent collects in his lifetime...along the way, each sons begin their own adventure, finding their own parnets and venture into the dark unknown of the jungle...while trekking through the jungle, the sons encounter different scenerio that will test their endurance nad strength, and challeneg their weakness in overcoming the harsh conditions of the jungle environment...along the way, some is betrayed, some fall ill to the jungle sickness, and it is up to the individyal sons to come together in order to overcome the great danger ahead of them...they also discover many dark secrets of the Maya civilisations, and that they have another brother who live in the jungle all his life...it will be up to the Broadbent brothers to fight against the bad guys and save their father in time before Maxwell Broadbent collaspe...
a great read, burning up my passion for reading again...haha, it's been quite some time since i read as i'm now in army, so time is more precious to be spent with family...anyway, happy renri, today is chuqi!!
