Saturday, July 07, 2007 || Jungle: A Harrowing True Story of Survival

Jungle is an incredible true story of how the author triumph over the most adverse and frightening of being alone, trying to survive in the jungle for many days...it is a tale of survuval and human fortitude against the wildest backdrop on the planet...

the backdrop of human nature, that is how humans become selfish and only care for oneself, adds an emotional element to the story...in the remote jungle, the law of survival of the fittest comes into play...and the weakest link being despised...

the author had brought forward the actual experiences he had encountered, such as being atatcked by white ants, and leeches, and having to take shelter from the torrent rains and flood etc...all these are something many of us would not be able to withstand...there were times when he wanted to jsut give up everything, but his thoughts continue to live on, and eventually, he managed to stay alive until he was being rescued...

a good read for those doing jungle survival course...haha...
